He is a distinguished urologist with an extensive academic and clinical background. He completed his MBBS from R G Kar Medical College, followed by MS in General Surgery from Calcutta National Medical College, and subsequently earned his M.Ch in Urology from Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi.
He served with dedication as a teacher and urologist in a state government hospital, ultimately retiring as Professor and Head of the Department of Urology at R G Kar Medical College in 2024. With over 35 years of experience in private practice, Dr. Dey has made significant contributions to patient care and urological education. He has been actively involved in professional urological societies and currently serves as the President of the Urological Society of India, East Zone.
